The only commit for XC so far is Dayton McVicker from WV. They also have the 800 specialist Austin Mudd who will compliment Mellon nicely.
It would be nice to get some more distance guys. They were passed over by Driggs, Walden and Jablonski. They must have scholarship issues for them not to have more elite guys. Nike errr Oregon has quite the monopoly this year.
And the weather during signing day doesn't favor the badgers. if signing day was in the late spring or summer, madison seems a lot sexier. i was there on business this week and it's just caked in snow
yeah, the location has alot to do with where you want to go for some people, especially the more elite atheletes who have more options and can afford out of state tuition more often than not, due to athletic scholarships. The badgers have claimed Austin Mudd, and I just thought I'd reiterate the fact that he is joining their team is a big +. Austin has alot of room for improvement, and the thing is, he is already a 1:50 guy, poised to make a run under 1:50 this spring. What makes him so talented is that he can be developed at the 1600 and is talented in XC as well. This guy can probaly run any distance from 400 to 10K as a college athlete, and that's a huge asset for any team to have.
