I liked your recent Millrose articles. I fit into the so-called Amish track fan category and am glad that you have brought attention to it. Additionally, when I'm with friends at meets I usually end up having fun with betting on the races (who would have thought the kid wearing XL basketball shorts would win the kids' 60m dash? at Millrose). For me it all started at the Penn Relays back in 2004 with some random Jamaicans - some frendly banter and betting nickels and dimes on the 4x4s, etc. Since then I(we) sit up in the highest level on the backstretch directly across from the finish line at Franklin Field and do the same thing. I invite you there on Saturday morning and/or afternoon for a mini-spectacle of a gambling ring. Initially we had some fans repeat and come back to sit with us but our numbers were down last year. Bring your green hat.
