I heard somewhere that if you volunteer at the games you could end up sitting there with Usain Bolt for two hours on the afternoon of a track-and-field meeting.
It depends what events you want to see. If you want to see the marathon, then they are talking about having that start and finish in The Mall, the same street used at the end of the annual London Marathon. If you've watched the end of the London Marathon, you'll notice there's a big old house in the background. Perhaps you might want to enquire if they've got any spare rooms.
I saw the quote from Coe about the volunteer deal. I just want to get in to watch the 5,000, 10,000, and maybe down to some other events too. I just want to know where an American can purchase tickets.
