Girlfriend snooping through computer- what to do?

I suggest you create a file on your computer called "CONFIDENTIAL". In the file leave a note to her asking her not to snoop through your personal files.

Or if you want to make it less obvious, name it something like "ex girlfriends.doc" or "my diary.doc" or something like that.Be prepared that anything like this may really make her upset though. Even though she is wrong to be snooping, she sounds like the type that will get upset when you call her out on it.Get this out of the way with her now, have a talk about it, or something and if she still doesn't trust you, then she has trust issues throughout your relationship and make your life difficult. If you literally have to work late, get delayed in traffic, or have some kind of Seinfeldesque situation, she will think it is an excuse to cover up for something else and will badger you about it. Get this trust stuff clarified now and if not, run.

Direct honest communication is your best bet. Ask her straight up what she was looking at. If her explanation satisfies you, great, problem solved in a clean, honest transparent manner. If not, then you know what kind of relationship you can look forward to if you decide to continue it.

Um, no. The OP is a skinny ass runner. She knows a file such as " ex girlfriends" would be filled with pure fantasies. You must be kidding.

Now, a "my diary" would be a sure way to turn her stomach. It would be filled with nothing buy running exploits. That would be a boring read.

The problem isn't that she is snooping. Who cares if you don't have anything to hide?

Make a folder that says "My one true love" and put it in a modestly hidden, but easily accessible place. Then put pictures of you and her inside.

Put plenty of gay porn in folder named Personal

I had a girlfriend do the same thing. I told her in no uncertain terms this is the last time she would ever do that and that to rebuild my trust in her would take time. We are still together 3 years later and she has demonstrated repeatedly that she is sorry and respects my privacy.

The catch, though, is that if you lay it out like this you have to mean it. I would have left her if I caught her again.

I respect her privacy, she should respect mine. That is what a good relationship is made of.

1) Plan an exit strategy

2) Lock your computer when you leave

3) Tell her that you know she's snooping

Depending on how you feel about her apology, you can either give her one more chance or kick her to the curb. If you did this to her, she would rightfully consider you a dangerous stalker.
