Did anybody else notice that the half-marathon course in Miami (this past Sunday) was long coming in? ALL of the Garmin users I talked to after the race were showing distances of just over 13.3 miles. Personally, I was running consistent ~6:10 miles up to the 12-mile mark, and really hammered the rest of the way in... but took 7:06 to get to the finish (6:26 pace, theoretically). I wasn't hallucinating about the "hammer" part, since I chased down 4 guys from a fair ways back in the process.
Take a look at the course certification map at

If you do a gmap-pedometer from the listed 12-mile point to the finish line, it's consistently over 1.25 miles.
I suppose it's possible that the 12-mile mark was short, given how far off some of the early mile mark placements were... but it fit pretty well with my pace and perceived effort level. Anyway, am wondering if anybody had a similar experience.
