Just diagnosed with a SH after ruling out all the other possibilities, especially osteitis pubis. I have had the pain for a year and a half. The pain is centered on my pubic bone and extends about half way down each side. I can run but have alot of discomfort when I do. The surgeon that I am seeing says that he has performed about 100 SH repairs with a 90% success rate. He spoke of an inguinal canal repair, my problem is that the pain is not focus in the inguinal canal it seems to be centered on the pubic bone. Is that area repairable by a mesh repair? Has anyone had similar symptoms and what did you find as a recourse? Any information would be awesome. I am exhausted mentally and physically after 1 1/2 years, I need to start feeling better.
