I would expect that Devil guy from Tasmania could have run sub 4, but I am guessing he was never officially timed.
Congratulations, Foster!
Has anyone ever gone sub-4 on Tasmanian soil? If not, you should consider going home and doing it.
He will return to Australia in April to try to qualify for the World Champs. No mile then though! 800/1500 only.
John Walker ran 3.56 there in 1983.
John Walker ran sub-4 EVERYWHERE! I can still see the long, flowing hair now...

I LOL'ed
He had more of the "spin" technique of running, so the more I think about it, maybe he couldn't have held on for a whole mile. He probably would be more successful as a sprinter.
Sorry, I keep changing my mind, but with any kind of strength behind his awesome spinning, he would most likely make a good discus thrower or shot putter. A long ways away from being a sub 4 minute miler.
Although he certainly is a minimalist! No shoes that I ever saw.
He's going to have to do it outdoors to get any credit for it.
that is a horrible picture of Ryan Foster.
Does the Devil guy have a Map of Tasmania?
