who is hated on more?
duh cavs?
lebron "the traitor" james?
Lebron gave Cleveland his best for many years. He decided to make a change to increase his chances of winning a championship, which is his right. Dan Gilbert and the Cleveland fans acted like little whinning bitches and now its coming back to haunt them. God dont like ugly!
It's not like Lebron is the pinnacle of class either...either way, Cleveland is going to need a big change this offseason.

Really? If you got suckered in by the propagandist media, you might think that. Lebron is no different than he was when he was an 8th grader and decided to go to St V St Mary instead of Buchtel. Idiots from cleveland like to call Lebron a quitter, but the fact is that the classless fans and moronic owner quit on the team during game 5 against Boston when we still had a chance to win the series. They booed Lebron and the team off the floor and Gilbert (the owner) gave up on his team before the series was even over.(Lambasted them in the media) What did Lebron do with an injured elbow that he had earlier took a cortisone shot for the next game?
27 points, 19 rebounds, 10 assists, and 3 steals. Do you call that quitting?
Over 99% of all NBA players will never have a game like that in their career and Lebron did it injured and after he allegedly quit on the team.
Lebron is the same person he has always been. He hasn't changed since high school. What has changed is how the media tries to spin every story about Lebron to put him in a negative light. If you are too stupid and gullible to see this, then that is your problem.
Lebron quit in two playoff series, Orlando in 09 and Boston last year. I don't see any reason why that won't happen again with the heat when the going gets tough in the playoffs. Any city would have reacted the way Cleveland did. NO city is as tortured my failure in all 3 major sports as Cleveland. I dnt think cleveland deserves this.

Cleveland definitely deserves this. LeBron isnt the first star to change teams. He didnt owe Cleveland a damn thing. In fact, Cleveland owes him. He made them relevant. How many games to he kick ass? Now you try to name 2 games where YOU think he quit. Bullshit! Talking bad about LeBron, burning his jersey was way overboard. I hope those bitchass crybaby fans have to suffer through 21 more straight losses.
You're all missing the point.
What is wrong with Lebron is how he rubbed it into Cleveland's faces by holding a national broad casted event to announce he was going to the Heat.
Dude lost the respect of everyone with this move. Even Barkley, Jordan, NFL players think the guys a phony.
Didn't Cleveland have the best record in the NBA last year?
Has any team in any sport ever gone from having the very best record one year to having the very worst record the next year?

Lebron was not classy with how he announced his decision, but the Cleveland fans(and owner) reaction was much worse. This is really nice to see them struggling based on how they have acted since Lebron left.
I wonder if Lebron tweeted "karma is a bitch" like he did when the lakers beat the cavs by 55 only proving that Lebron doesn't know what the word karma means?
Wow you people really are ignorant.
To clarify a couple things that you probably don't know, the "special" that Lebron did was put together in a very short time. Everybody knew the whole country had been waiting two years to hear his decision. If everybody thought he would simply stay in Cleveland, there would have been no interest.
As Lebron and his management team were discussing how they could make this into something positive, Maverick Carter, a long time friend and former high school teammate of Lebrons (he was the best player on the team when Lebron was a freshman)came up with the idea to have a tv special to raise money for charity. They got Jim Gray to agree to be the interviewer. (I didn't like what he did to Pete Rose and he was probably trying to help his rep.). They then got espn to donate the hour for the charity and they got all of Lebrons sponsors to buy ads so they could donate that money to charity. Everything went as planned as they raised 2.5 MILLION DOLLARS for the Boys and Girls clubs of America. What happened at that point was really just unbelievable. If they made any mistake, I believe it was that they didn't make it specifically known that they were raising that much money for charity. Once the media decided he was wrong, they turned it into the worst thing ever in sports. In reality, the only people that would have really even cared were the people from Cleveland. (and a few other people who stupidly thought he would go to their team)
Of course when the owner came out with his slanderous statement about Lebron and they showed the jersey burnings and all that crap, the media got the whole nation (except Miami) against him. I am sure nobody even associated with the "special" could have imagined the reaction.
So the end result is that Lebron is still the same person he was, he raised the money for charity, and he has gladly taken the "villain" role and just destroys teams the louder they boo. He is actually playing much better on the road this year than at home.
As far as the "karma" tweet, Lebron didn't even do that. Somebody tweeted that to him and he simply forwarded it to everybody else.
Lastly, for anybody to say Lebron quit at anytime I have one question to ask, "Are you really that stupid?
Lebron should have learned from Gretzky how to make a big-time relo without burning every bridge in your rearview mirror. Gretzky is still a hero in Canada despite leaving the Oilers for the bright lights of L.A.
You might be a little off with a few ideas. If LeBron wanted to raise money for a charity, why wouldn't he just donate a few million? Nothing good comes from televising your decision to leave a city for another. And if you are correct that "the whole country had been waiting two years to hear his decision" then how did he give the Cavs his all when he was planning to leave for two years? I dont agree with the Cavs response or Gilberts reaction to him leaving, classless on both parties but LeBron was more than just a basketball player to Cleveland. LBJ was a spark that could bring business and money back to the city. I'm not talking about big industry but small business and thats at least a start. If you dont believe me look at the money spent in Cleveland during the NBA season before and after LeBron showed up. It skyrocketed. So when LeBron left Cleveland, so did the last chance of it ever being a city.
If the Heat win any championships in the next 2-3 years noone will remember any of this except the Cleveland people of course. Also it is pretty crazy that people went that nuts about him leaving. I mean get over it. You feel a little bad for them but really after all its Cleveland maybe you just have to expect it. Poor Cleveland.

Forwarding a tweet is still tweeting.

Are you really trying to argue that Lebron James IS the pinnacle of class?

Lebron is just a regular guy who happens to be the best basketball player in the world. He never gets in trouble, does amazing things for charity, and takes it personally when people try to put him down. What the cavs announcers RAVED about for years was that Lebron always gave a great interview win or lose. He wouldn't give the usual "Greg Maddux" speak and would break the games down and tell exactly what they did well or did poorly. He was always straight forward and honest.
I could give you hundreds of examples that show what kind of guy he is but just last night after they DESTROYED the cavs again, he went over to Manny Harris and congratulated him on his play and gave him some words of encouragement. He does this virtually every game to one of the opponants good young players. He also does it to his own teammates. He took Boobie under his wing when he came in the league and Boobie was the one that beat Detroit in game 6. He did the same thing last year to J.J. Hickson and was helping him turn into a great player. J.J. hardly playing in the playoffs was one thing that really upset Lebron because he knew they had a better chance to win with him in there. Of course Brown was forced to play the plodding Jamison and Shaq who weren't that effective against Boston.
Even the idiots from Cleveland never figured out why Lebron wore Yankees and Cowboys hats. I don't believe it was a coincidence that he started doing this shortly after they booed him for missing a couple free throws in a meaningless regular season game during the 07/08 season. If you dig at Lebron, he will dig back without you even knowing it. You don't get to be the best at what you do by not having that kind of drive.
Lebron even took heat from his own fans were "hugging" the other teams players before the game. While all the washed up retired fossils took a shot at Lebron, you didn't here anybody in the league do that. That's because all the players like Lebron and would LOVE to play on his team because he makes them better players. Just ask Eddie House!! Of course they also wouldn't want to get on his bad side because that would fuel him to just torch them the next time they play.

Lebron could have just flew down to Miami and set up a press conference so the only people making money were the tv stations who broadcast it. How would that do anybody anygood? I don't think they would be donating money to charities from it. The losers in Cleveland would have still did the same things. If Lebron gave a "few million" to every charity he helps, he would be broke. Why don't you give a "few million" to your favorite charity?
Lebron was never planning to leave for two years. He even stopped answering all questions from the media about it for that season because it got to be too much of a circus.
Why don't you tell us how you would have announced it and how that would have benefitted charities the most?
