I am doing this workout program on the Kinect:

Ice Skater - Pushing off from your left foot (jumping) sideways to land softly on your right foot and vice versa.
Sumo Side - Squats
Kick Punch - Kicking your right leg into the air, whilst punching with your left arm and vice versa
Squat Knee Lift - Squatting, then raising your left leg up in the air, then squat again and raise your right leg up in the air.
Side Jack - Slightly kicking your right foot to the right side then returning your leg to a central position. Repeat with the left leg.
I am wondering, will this workout eventually help my ability for long distance running (on the beach) or hinder it?
