I am having trouble finding an English translation of Giovanni Boccaccio's "Teseida." Does anyone have any idea if there is one out there or where I may be able to find it on the web? I have tried on inter library loan, Project Gutenberg, and various other databases. Can anyone help?

The University of Chicago has one in their library. If you're not associated with them, your local library can request a loan. I don't know how long that process takes though.

Is this for a Chaucer class? It's actually pretty hard to come by, despite the common undergrad essay topic compare the Knight's Tale to Il Teseida. Have a look at the bibliography in the Riverside Chaucer for Sources and Analogues (sorry, haven't looked at it in a couple of years so I'm not sure what the headings are) and see if they can point you to something.

It's actually for a small part of my master's thesis.
Thanks for the replies, but none of those amazon.com links have anything saying they are translations into the English. I am wary since there are no reviews either.
Still, checking the Riverside might help. What's the topic of the thesis? There's an abridged English translation that I've seen used, again in undergrad Chaucer classes. I'm out of town and away from my files though so I can't be much help. Are you at a school with a decent languages department? Asking some profs in the right departments could help.
