Are there any running stores located in the St. Louis area that have a treadmill that you can run on in order to find the right shoe for you? I'd like to go somewhere around here where I can watch my foot strike in order to see the way my foot strikes and see what shoe would be best for myself.
Ghisallo Running on North South in University City has a treadmill for testing shoes. It even has a camera on your footstike with a display in front of you so you can see yourself running.

They also sell GU and Powergel.
Big River Running has 3 stores in the StL area, they are the most knowledgeable of all the Area Stores. Check with owner Ben Rosario (former Hanson Runner) as to shoes that will work for you.
a competent running shoe salesperson should be able to fit you properly without a treadmill.
Tips:
Bring in an old pair of running shoes.
Go in as close to the time of day you typically run as you can. (if you run in the afternoon, go then, your foot swells as the day goes on)
I second Big River by far the best running store I have ever been to, and the staff there is awesome. Was very helpful in getting me fitted for the best shoes, now the whole family goes there. Wouldnt shop anywhere else

You can recommend Big River all you want, but that does not answer the question of the original poster. Yes, the staff are very good at Big River, but do they have a treadmill? If they don't, then why did you bring them up?
Try saying this next time:
Big River does not have a tread mill like you asked, but their staff is the best and will help you more than the other stores. You will be happier and have a better chance of ending up with the right shoe if you go there.
(I don't know if they have a treadmill or not.)
Also, in my opinion the staff at Ghisallo is pretty good, too.
Big River is the place. Two locations.They will take good care of you.
So how many of you guys work at these stores?
A former training partner of mine when to college with both Big River owners. As our paths crossed from time to time, I have formed a pretty specific opinion of them: They're great guys.
They're good entrepreneurs, and will send you away with a proper pair of shoes. Everyone working at BRRC (I live in California, fyi) understand each sale could promote or discourage future business.
With that in mind, I don't know if they have video gait analysis.
