Didn't see this thread yet, so I thought I would give my perspective from the 300s section of the stands.
Attendance: - I would say it was only about 60% filled. The upper section was not even used. And in the lower area, there were a lot of scattered seats unfilled. They need to fill the area. They must figure out a way. Give them out for free to the middle school teams, just get fannies into those seats.
Expand the US vs. Jamaica competition. Why just the 60? Add longer sprints. it seemed the crowd was into that.
The 2 mile was not exciting. I realize Rupp was a star attraction, and didn't show (not sure why), but to have only 4/5 competitors ended up being boring. The field is strung out and it was not exciting. Have just a few more competitors.
I liked Dan O'Brien, he brought energy to interviews. Shot put was exciting too.
The program was crazy expensive, $10! Didn't buy one. But I don't understand why they don't sell T-shirts. They would make a tidy business from them.
