So, I have heard alot of different things about running high mileage (100 miles a week or more). I used to be a 60 mile a week kid back in high school. I was average. 9:30's and a 15:40 5K guy. I am now a freshmen in college and over the summer coming into college and over this winter break I have really been hitting the miles. Over winter break I hit 7 weeks in a row over 100 miles, doing workouts here and there. I can see myself getting stronger but I havent gotten a chance to test myself by racing. I am redshirting indoor and outdoor this year. I am hoping to get a solid 5 or 6 months over 100 miles and really see what I can do in the 10k in cross. What do you guys think about the high mileage. Once you can hit 100 miles a week and handle some solid workouts is when you really start seeing the advantages.
Let me hear it?
