Do you keep a running log? If so, for how long, what do you use and what do you put in it? Just running stuff like miles route and pace, or is it more of a diary? Just curious as to what people do.

I use it for everything
I have kept a runner's log since 1979 and 100% of my runs during that time have been recorded. I mostly just put the basics such as where I ran, the weather, who I ran with and how far. Some days I get more detailed, especially if a race or hard workout where I will write how I felt.

Today, I put this in mfor my second run.
General Information:
Comments Ran to get to 100 for the week and to get back on the leaderboard. I was on it earlier but got bumped off till now. Ran a hood loop + ~1.3 miles on the football field at arnold middle school.(my old stomping grounds) used to run the mile on that course for the presidential fitness test. Listened to my Zune the whole way. It's kinda big..
8:01,7:52,8:02,7:50,7:36,+.34
Total distance 5.34 Miles in 41:55 [7:50 per mile]
As you can see, Running2win.com is the best running log. :)
I use microsoft excel. Columns for date, general information, distance, time, location, push ups, sit ups, pull ups, extra info, plus week to date every sunday, and month to date every month. I have a bunch of other columns for other random stuff as well. About 450 rows so far, started in October 2009.
I'm going to third running2win. I love that site!
