Women's top six (alphabetical) - Emily Brown, Shalane Flanagan, Molly Huddle, Lisa Koll, Renee Metevier Baillie, Katherine Newberry.
Prediction: Kara Goucher extends the Salazar no-show streak.

That could be a very good women's team in Spain. Shalane and Molly would be a good 1-2 punch. Two more would have to have great races, but 3rd place is possible.
Curtis, Bumbalough, Moran, Bauhs, Mack, Bruce in no particular order. Too bad guys like Ritz, Rupp, Nelson, Solinsky are not participating.

Yes and it's too bad. EVERYONE should be at XC Nats. Milers to Marathoners. Our 6 BEST should run at World XC.
I think these young guys have a TON of talent but just don't race enough.

Everything our BEST runners are doing should be preparing them to run fast on the track in the months of June, July and August. Running a small-time meet in March (sorry but World XC is small-time) is not going to do that.

Yeah try telling that to Kenenisa Bekele, Haile Gebrselassie, Joseph Ebuya, and Paul Tergat, just to name a few. It can be done, it is just that some of the top Americans don't seem to see any point in running world cross.

Revising to include Matt Tegenkamp in the top 6. Bumping Jorge Torres.

It will be interesting to see how torres and some of the other handle the back to back weekend racing.

I was wondering that as well? He seemed to be cruising along fine the first 6 miles...
Saw there's a decent amount of collegiates running...including DIII XC champ Wendy Pavlus. Think she's got any shot at placing high? Surprised she's entered, coming all the way from the east coast (St. Lawrence)...

Yea running the small time meet really seemed to hurt guys liek bekele and tergat over the years.
USA runners want to be the Kenyans and Ethiopians - maybe they should take a page from thier book and strap a pair on and run World XC
