Hello Letsrun, I am hoping you can help me figure out if I should be concerned.
During the first few miles of my workout on Thursday I felt like I was running with a little pebble in my right shoe. I stopped a couple times to inspect but could not find the pebble. I even took my sock off to check and there was nothing there. I completed my workout and by the end of the run had forgotten about the pain. Yesterday my heel was a little sore throughout the day. I did a recovery run in the evening (my only run of the day) and my heel was a little sensitive but not as bad as the beginning of my run Thursday.
Since after my run yesterday my calf has been tight and my heel a little sensitive. My achilles is showing no signs of stress.
Does this scenario sound familiar to anyone? If you had the same pains would you go ahead and do your long run on it or would you wait to see a doc?
