During the first mile of almost every run I lose the coordination in my legs after about 50 strides and begin wobbling and almost falling until it stops. It is impossible to maintain a smooth pace. It typically only lasts for about 10 minutes and after that I am fine.
It only happens on pavement, never on grass or dirt. I am fine when doing low mileage after layoffs, but the problem returns when my mileage starts going up.
I would appreciate any comments on what might be causing this issue and steps that might prevent it.
