Rumor has it he's not running two mile? Anyone know for sure?

He's still in the entry list.
… and Galen Rupp Pulls Out of Millrose Two-Mile
Events longer than a mile are rare at the Millrose Games in New York in recent years, and Rupp, the Oregon-based 10,000-meter Olympian, was supposed to be the centerpiece of a two-mile on Friday night. Tom Jordan, who's been serving as elite athlete coordinator for the Millrose Games, announced on Thursday that Rupp will not be racing at the Games. His withdrawal is tied to the asthma attack that caused him to drop out of a mile at a recent meet in Idaho.

It wouldn't surprise me if they did that, or maybe they're covering for a possible scratch just before the event if they decide that Millrose isn't Rupp-certified. I suspected that maybe they were setting up something like this with the reaction to a flu shot that should have been administered in October.
But the fact is that Rupp is still on the start list for the event.
The statement came today from Tom Jordan in NYC. Rupp is out.
i just want to see him go sub 13 in dusseldorf in 2 weeks, that 5k race in dusselldorf has paul kipsiele koech, daniel komon and eliud kipchoge.
lol @ track not being rupp-certified. tough turns.
hopefully he gets rolling soon--I think he can have a great year following last year's speed.
cancelled due to snow
This one was always going to be either DNF or NR-C (not Rupp-certified)
No chance of Wuppy manning up anytime soon.
Now, where's that guy who are argued with me when I said DNF Galan Rupp isn't tough? Come on out, buddy. Let's here what you have to say now.

lets wait until after dusseldorf to talk about wether rpp is tough or not, the race he was in tomorrow is not important as there was/is no competition. look at the personal best's of the other runners in the 2 mile race.
you guys are real turds. here we have an american running consistently well...low 27's 10k...multi ncaa champ...yet, you continue to speak negatve of him. why don't you just get behind him and support instead of all your hoarded negative energy?
That's only college. Kid's stuff.

Cuz he is a puss! I don't want to cheer a guy on who is likely to DNF in any race... or better yet just not show up. I want to cheer for a guy who races like a man and fights until the end. Where have those runners gone? Where are the runners like Billy Mills, Jim Ryun, and (sad to say it) Prefontaine? Distance runners are a bunch of pusses anymore. If there is no competition for him in that 2 mile then he could have used it as a training run for "his big 5k next week."

Take you slow white ass out there and run. Rupp don't give a f***, about what you white boys think.
He is a professional runner. It's ok if people don't like him. Quit being a Turd and calling people Turds just because they don't like a guy you like. People are disappointed that they don't get to see him run. Really, where are the guys that just loved to race. We need another Bill Rodgers.
while still listed on the start list...he is missing from the drop down in the pick and win.
I don't care where he's still listed. He's not coming. Tom Jordan made that very clear.

I'd rather see a good race with this than a small two-mile at Millrose.
