Here are the college entrants in the Millrose relays. Robby Andrews (I'm assuming) and UVA will be in the 4x8 along with, among others, Rojo's Cornell unit.

Other info related to my preview- I stand corrected about the lack of a race-walking mockumentary. Superfan blog author Jesse Squire says he has made one. I can vouch for neither its quality nor the sanity of the man who made it. He is, after all, the author of a blog dedicated to distance running... and I've seen his type before

I heard Virginia is using an all freshman team for the 4 x 8.

Here's what their web site has:

"Virginia's relay will consist of sophomores Brett Johnson, TJ Hobart and Zach Vrhovac, in addition to freshman Anthony Kostelac."

I still heard as late as today (Thursday) that it was going to be an all freshman team. Hmmmm. Maybe somebody wasn't letting the cat out of the bag when they said that.

Hobart was a beast of a runner in Pa for track. Can't wait to see what he runs. He ran 416 as a soph and I think 412 as a Jr.

Virginia to compete Friday night at Madison Square Garden
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Virginia track and field team will feature a 4x800m relay on Friday night at the 104th Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden. The Byron Dyce Men’s College 4x800m relay is scheduled for 8:44 p.m., and can be seen on ESPN2, as the Millrose Games will be televised live from 8-10 p.m. Results can also be found on VirginiaSports.com.
Virginia’s relay will consist of sophomores Brett Johnson, TJ Hobart and Zach Vrhovac, in addition to freshman Anthony Kostelac.
Johnson, Vrhovac and Kostelac will all be making return trips to Madison Square Garden, while this will be Hobart’s first appearance. Johnson was the runner-up to current Cavalier NCAA Champion Robby Andrews in the high school mile in 2009, while Kostelac and Vrhovac were members of Albemarle High School’s 4x800m relay team that won the title in 2009.
At last year’s event, the Cavaliers’ quartet of All-American Lance Roller, Vrhovac, John Minen and Andrews earned Virginia its first-ever Millrose Games title. Andrews, the 2009 Millrose Games high school mile champion, used his come-from-behind kick on national television to anchor the Cavaliers’ relay to victory in 7:32.49, outdistancing second-place New York AC (7:34.48) by almost two seconds.
Virginia dominated the 4x800m relay last year. During the indoor season, the Cavaliers were the NCAA and USA national leaders, running 7:26.49 on Jan. 22 at the Hokie Invitational. Virginia continued its success outdoors, running the No. 1 time in the world, won the Penn Relays Championship of America and was ranked No. 1 in the NCAA by Track & Field News.

Since we often write our own press releases at Cornell, I'll state that our team will consist of the following team members.

1. Andy "I can't believe coach finally put me on a relay" Arnold - Sophomore - 4:09 mile/2:26 1k.

2. Adrien "I have great range and Vig wants me for next year" Dannemiller - Senior (Jr. Eligibility) - NCAA qualifier in steeple, 1:51.9 relay for 800, 2:25 for 1k, 3:46 for 1500, 8:47 for the steeple, 30:05 for a windy 10k, and 68:21 for 13.1 as a junior in high school (missed national age record by 14 seconds).

3. John "I want Nick's freshman records" Schilkowsky - Freshman - 1:52.96 indoors in HS, 2:24.35 1k two weeks ago.

4. Nick "Now that I've broken 1:50, I want to break 4:00 in the mile" Wade - Sophomore - school record holder indoors in the 800 (1:49.81) and 1k (2:23.66).
