Do people respect the numbers given from age grading as the best way to evaluate race performances across multiple distances? It's funny that I never hear anyone talk about "I just ran 81.8% in my last race"... I guess that would just be cumbersome since you do need a calculator.
But I just figured that it might be easier to understand to say that you can run 80% of the WR in the mile and you race 82% of the WR in the 5K. Therefore you have a better 5K time.
Do people acknowledge this as correct line of thinking?
