If so, post your email and I'll talk to you about an opportunity. The school is D2 and in the Southeast. I'm a runner on the team. Not the coach.

Any HS senior sub 9:40 3200 meter runners here not have any type of scholarsip yet?
I'd guess most of them
And this is why nobody in D2 can compete with Adams and Western.
And this is why no one in D1 can compete with Ok State and Oregon.
Come to Malone University instead.
9:40 really? Money, really?
Anyone who is a 9:40 guy right now ran 9:40 as a junior. There are tons of guys who run 9:40 or a little faster as juniors and get money at D1 (obviously not elite) and D2 schools.

Why shouldn't they get money? I got full tuition as a 10:44 high school runner.
Wow, I know at least a couple of CCs where 9:40s might not get you any money. And they are not the Kenyan importing CCs either. They appear to be nearly all instate athletes.
Look around, you can find a ton of school with at least partial scholarships for guys in the 10:40 and better range. You just need to seek them out.
you should look for a school where you'll be happy, has a good academic program you're interested in and get a great athletic experience... the idea that everyone who laced up a pair of spikes getrs a scholarship is ridiculous
I coached D2 in a state with at least 30 college track programs. 9:40 or better usualy means a state qualifier and maybe even a scoring place as a junior. D2 schools and NAIA schools definitely offer money to those runners. Guys like that at most of those programs step right in at number one or number two in cross on the team.

My son couldn't even get on a squad at his college(s) of choice with sub-9:40 credentials. And, we weren't even asking for any support.
That's because you started a website that deals with affairs.
I guess they all have some sort of scholarship already! But this isn't some scrub school I'm talking about. Leave your email if you're interested.
Shoot, I was barely sub-9:40 and I got a 100% full-ride to a DI program and earned All-American honors.
Sub 9:40 could also mean 9:00 so the post is correctly titled. I only ran 9:55, 4:28 in HS, walked on in college, earned a scholarship and ended up with 1:54, 3:54 and 9:11SC.
I can't believe no one is taking advantage of this....
I can't believe how many arrogant people there are on these boards. I ran 9:45 as a junior in high school and was 17th at nationals my senior year of college. If you look at a persons training you see how much they have gotten out of their body. Would you rather have a guy who runs 50 miles a week and runs 9:45 or a guy who runs 90 miles per week with 4 workouts a week and runs 9:20?
