Elite athlete trains 6 weeks with elite club, ends up hurt. Three weeks still recovering. Are 20 hrs week training, 18 hrs driving and 6 hrs sleep per night to much for teenagers? Is this really worth it? How many elite athletes think it was worth it when they did it? Would you do it to your kid? Should there be more balance? If you include school time, that is about 85 hrs a week. This for a scholarship, or for a chance to win some championship. Why do parent and coaches push these kids, is it for the kid, or for the egos?
