Bowerman wasn't a snob about "running." He was the author of "Jogging - A Medically Approved Physical Fitness Program for All Ages."
If you think hobby joggers look funny now, you ought to look at the pictures in Bowerman's book - it's old ladies in hairnets, women in capri pants, etc. It has hilarious sections about how jogging is good for thrifty housewives because it's cheap.
I heard that only snobby runners care if people think their sport is called jogging. Is this true?
Take back the word "jogging."
It is so porn 70's. Awesome.
I embrace my inner jogger.
I don't have any problem with jogging or joggers, per se. Jogging just isn't a sport, it's a fitness activity.
He wrote a book called "Jogging" so...what do you want?

If only the rest of the world were as tolerant. I'm an elite jogger who can't seem to get any respect or appearance fees from race directors. Why is it that only runners get the fees and not elite joggers such as myself?
