Are the Badgers running a full squad on Saturday?

Minnesota has dominated over last couple of years.

Wisconsin has filled some wholes and distance always keeps them in the hunt.

Penn State needs their middle distance to carry them along with new sprinter and 2 stud throwers! They think this is the year.

Ohio State has been in top 3 last couple years (Penn State is NOT going to beat Murdaugh in 400!)

Iowa has sprinters and throws is usally good.

IU looks tough and very top heavy (top 5 at NCAA's).

Illinois will be at home, a thrower, and a couple stud sprinters.

Michigan has a couple guys running better, but were last place last outdoors.

Michigan State has has soem throwers so far and that is about it.

Purdue should cancel program.

Hassan Mead is back. Ran this past weekend. Gophers didn;t lose that much from last year when they beat everybody by a ton WITHOUT Mead!

I'm not sure, but they've used this meet as a debut for the distance guys in the past. Miller dropped a converted sub 4 mile last year for instance. I'm interested to see Hatz and/or Finnerty to see what kind of shape they're in.

I completely forgot about Hatz.

what about the womens side? can Penn State repeat? Ohio State is looking very strong so far though.

The Big Ten is very different from the last time Mead competed in it. Mead will not have the tight grip he once had in the 09 CC season. No longer will he have the 'automatic 20 pts' look for 12-17 pts max from him

It'll be interesting to see how the mile shakes out with See, Miller and Bolas gone. This has gotta bode well for Blankenship to repeat. Im also stoked about what hatz and Finnerty do as they are handed Wisco's reigns.

BIG NEWS: Osoro from Portland to Iowa(I know this is letsrun but this is legit) Im not sure when he can start running for them or if hes even in school this semester. but it sunds like fall for sure.

I don't think Hatz and Finnerty are going to be as solid as Bolas and Miller (at least next couple of years). IU will dominate indoors distance just because of their willingnedd to work on speed and race more than one time a season (my constant complaint of Badgers). Bayer wins and and all events he enters. Hassan Mead is on the return.

IU will not dominate. Wisconsin will show up just like they did during cross country and smash them at conference. Wisconsin will score 70+ points between 800, mile, 3000, and 5000 (as usual) and win DMR.

I wish 70+ points but probably 50-60 from 800 up.

Hoosiers are coming along greatly but how many times are we going to hear "THIS SEASON". Every season "Indiana will dominate." well, last outdoor season Indiana had their best showing(in part to wisco screwing up ie steeple etc) but wisco still had more distance points, so surly indiana couldnt have dominated if it didnt even have the most points. I could see Indiana winning big tens next year in CC and then justify its last 5 years+ of stating 'this season we will win' well 1/15 wouldnt be that bad I guess...

I'm a Badger fan and I agree they'll get theirs in the 800 and up, but they don't look to have very many points coming from the field events. They typically have a jumper or two to rely on, but so far I'm not seeing anyone this year.

Ahh yes, the 70+ point posters are back for Wisconsin. I really wish I could go back to the archive of last years indoor discussion and I believe I would see the same obscure point postings by Wisco fans that they put up, and then watch them get outscored by MN, as MN dominates the MD last year along with scoring in the 3 and 5k (and that was with a 0 in the DMR, which they ended up being All-Americans), im not saying MN will score as much as they did last year, but Wisco is nowhere near as deep anymore and i just don't see it, we shall see in a month though! Indiana has become a very deep distance team on the track! CC and track do not always translate, especially indoor. Paces are always obscure and i just do not see Wisco having the guys that could dominate in those races (from Solinksy, to Teg, to Miller to Bolas) we'll see though

Wisco did not screw up the steeple, they simply got man handled, and I don't really think it has anything to do with what they (IU) are saying, I think it has everything to do with what people on here are saying.

The Big Ten (Indoor?) champ Rayme Mackinson is listed as competing unattached. The have a couple of HJ (Annear/Nichols, but there are a few Big Ten studs there), Wes Kavelaris and especially Mickey DeFilippo in the PV (he might do 5.30 this year; several throws guys (Dehns, some frosh including Block, and especially Alex Thompson, who won the national title in the discus as a senior); Japeth Cato (already vaulting 5m, LJ 7.30, pretty quick in the sprints, strong for a RS FR) and David Grzesiak in the Multis; a 21.5 on that flat 200 track is a pretty good sprint time (Nelloms facility record is 21.31, and 6.80 is reasonably quick on that track (Omole's best was about 6.65+ and he ran 6.55 on faster tracks).

Yeah Gasper a 8:40 guy from the year before, and sheilds a 8:55 guy.

What's the scoop on Gibby at Michigan after his first season? Did the team buy into his philosophy? How was training different this year compared to Warhurst's era? Was it a good coaching hire?

I haven't seen Penn State look this good since Harry Groves' hey day!

Penn State looked great last year and folded like a flimsy deck of card by conference. Cas showed up but Owen and Ryan didn't even make finals/barely scored.
