Maybe between 57 and 61 for the 400, never ran well off of hard intervals, in fact just one or two interval workouts overcooked seems to permanently cook a season, love high mileage...
Bob Deines, Amby Burfoot, Jeff Galloway all come to mind. Don't know as much about galloway's training, but did he include much faster than strides?
Anybody try just easy running with maybe strides a few times a week and relaxed fartlek all year and fairly frequent racing?
Can these types of extreme ST runner hammer everyday (a la Tom Fleming) or is it more necessary to slow down and do mostly lsd, strides, races?
Specifically 5k/10k training
