Solinsky meets the standards for the award which states that its for Oregon residents. Solinsky spent over half the year the past 3 years in Oregon so he qualifies as much as Rupp who spent about an equal amount of time in the state.
Eaton is up for amateur award along with Wheating although both turned pro after end of collegiate season although Ashton never competed as a pro while Wheating did.
Bailey's marks certainly superior to Rupp's IMHO and Nick Symmonds comes to mind as another strong Oregon pro. Sounds like Al was on the selection committee. Awards are at Nike campus if you note.
