A lot of people are turning down chances to be in the Wanamaker Mile and that two-mile with Rupp. Especially the latter. The track is very very slow.
Seriously, it was only mildly annoying when every time I went to the front page there were blatant underhanded stabs at dopers or someone who had done something illegal, but it's really getting out of control. The letsrun front page is turning into a trashy teen magazine of running, where the brojos rip good people for their choices to stir up drama on the boards.
Craig Miller can do whatever he wants in regards to training and him and his coach I'm sure have a plan laid out. I'd love to have the experience of going to train in a cool country like Australia, especially when your average US citizen doesn't give a f*** about track. You don't need to be bitter that you never got to the level where you can make decisions like that and rip him on the front page after he won a big race and beat a competitive field. The drama queens that run this site really make me sick, I just want to keep up with what's going on in running. Where has any sense of integrity on this board gone?

Hey, the truth of the matter is that this is THEIR site, not yours. They can write whatever they want to and everyone gets to deal with it. I'm sure if they lost every`person on this thread you will NOT BE MISSED.
Their site has turned into a credible source of track and field information. Results and coverages are generally quite good. It's also cool to have a place where users can contribute to controversial topics or really exciting races that wouldn't be publicized elsewhere. It's the nature of anonymous posting that occasionally there will be flaming and trash that you can just read over and not worry about. But, they should be simply presenting these topics and throwing them to the posters to discuss, not openly ripping good people on the front page if they don't agree with them.
I think they can openly rip people, but they should check their facts first, since, as you say, they are becoming (god help us all) a credible source.
On the armory site there is a clear statement on the race and the meet policy on video evidence. They have a strict policy against it. Agree or disagree, a short effort at google before making an editorial comment is probably warranted.

I was out of town this weekend. Before reading this thread, I woke up, read the Miller thing, thought it was ridiculous, removed the word "idiotic" and called up Rojo and told him so. I also then commented about the Bush-Gore statement and removed it.
