Greetings! Slogging through another week as we remain in, what is for us, a prolong freeze. They've called off public school so often this winter, that the kids may miss their spring break.
Some interesting posts again last week. Thanks for stepping in. The Egoscue information, I found quite interesting, and plan to check it out. NLS, hope that things have gone well for you, it was a frustrating week, I'm sure.
My week was another low one. Only managed a few runs, owing to having to get this portfolio finished. There is nothing fun about justifying one's existence for the past three years. At any rate, I got it in Friday and immmediately went for a run. In the end, I only managed a wopping 20 miles on 3 easyish runs for the week. Woo-hoo! With all that added work behind me, I'm confident that I'll be getting back to a much healthier pattern starting this week.
This weeks topic: Drills.
I was reminded of this great post/video by Coach Magill on Running Times

In connection with that. Do you do them? If so, which ones and how much/how often? I've been bad. I paid little attention to drills from last summer through the fall, but have been getting back to doing some of them about once a week since late November. I don't do the full array, mostly skips, butt kicks, and carioca's. I'll do three to four pass-through's of 40 meters of each exercise.
I know that Pete checks in on our board pretty regularly, and will be joining our ranks soon, perhaps he'd like to chime in with some positive encouragement/suggestions for us. :-)
Hope you all have a good week!
Sorry, Dave, but I have to say it: GO PACK!
