i'm currently at a dIII school and looking at the possibility of transferring to another school in any division for the 2011-2012 school year. what are ncaa rules outlining contact with coaches from other schools while I am currently taking classes here and competing?
You need your coach/AD to sign a waiver in order for a D1 coach to legally contact you. If you email D1 coaches without the waiver, some might reply anyways, but they're not supposed to. For D3, your coach/AD doesn't have to sign anything, but you might have to submit a waiver signed just by yourself. Not sure what the rules about D2 are.
