Does anyone think UVa is going to be beat this year in the DMR at ACC's? With Andrews on the anchor, they should be an easy favorite. I don't think FSU has the legs anymore, but VTech might be up there. Any thoughts?

Andrews is redshirting.
Tech is quick on the track.
UNC has a bunch of freshmen who were fast on the track in HS.
Andrews is redshirting? Is that confirmed? VaTech will be tough, but UVa still has to have the edge. Duke has to be thrown in the mix too. Duke would be more favored to win it that UNC. Duke is better in the mile, and the 8. UNC doesn't have guys with wheels like that. Order will finish: UVa, VaTech, Duke, UNC.

They have a 3:42 1500/ 4 flat miler, and a freshman who split 1:49 4 x 8 anchor last year in HS. Not to mention they have two 400 guys who have run 45.x, a guy who ran 3:45 as a frosh last year, and freshmen who ran 4:06 full, 4:08 full, millrose/penn mile champion, etc. in HS.
Not that you will see anyone's best line up at ACC's, but assuming these teams all make it to nationals in the DMR it should be interesting to see who comes out on top.
Those times are great and all, but UVa has just as good, in everything but the 4, with Vatech too. And most squads dont load their 4 leg at ACCs anyway, cuz theyre usually in the 2, 4, and 4x4 already. The race is clearly between UVa and VaTech. UNC is too inconsistent. If Andrews is not redshirting, UVa walks away with the win easy.
I know. No one cares too much about the DMR at the ACC meet. Teams that are actually good are more focused on qualifying their squad to the NCAA's and will run "reserves" at the conference meet.
