In the next few weeks, I will be able to start running again after being off many weeks for achilles tendonitis and a stress reaction in my heel. I have been running in the Asics Gel Cumulus series for the past two years and am thinking that going kind of minimal will help with preventing future injuries. I looked today at the Saucony Kinvara and very much liked it. I did not buy it yet, but I plan on it if I decide to go with a more minimal approach for the future.
1) How should I go about getting back into running while starting minimalism as well? (types of mileage per week/percentage/surfaces)
2) Would the kinvara be a good shoe to go to for this situation? Next fall I will begin my college running and will be running on concrete 95% of the time. Im a midfoot striker as well and dont heelstrike.
3) I have recently, since getting the AT back in november, started wearing the superfeet green insoles. Have any of you worn the Superfeet/other insoles with the kinvara? If so, any issues with it? Would I different color insole be better for the kinvara then?
Any help would be greatly appreciated guys
