Those two should definitely improve things for the good guys, however, the big difference should be the defense. Whether it was due to Palamaulu being out or just Lebeau hiding things in case they met in the playoffs, the Steelers blitzed just 6 times in the first meeting according to the Post Gazette.
Combine that with the fact that the Jets seemed to pull out all the stops with a naked bootleg and other non-traditional plays, as well as a kick return, yet could have lost in the final seconds gives this fan confidence. Of course, usually when I am confident is when my team is in trouble.
The Jets kick returner who burned the Steelers for a TD (Brad Smith) is not 100% and may not play. Also the Steelers may get Aaron Smith back on a limited basis on the defensive line. Even though Ziggy Hood has done a good job filling in, Smith is still better at this point in their careers. The Steelers special teams coverage still sucks (always has for some reason) so they are still vulnerable to the big play. The health of the offensive line for the Steelers is also a concern. I'm still confident of a win for the Black and Gold, but it certainly is not a gimmie.
I'm surprised at the lack of smack talking. This seems to indicate a change in the mindset of the Jets that may favor the Steelers. Also I think it helps the Steelers that they lost to the Jets at their first meeting, and also that the Jets come into the game having beaten two good teams and built some momentum, because the Steelers seem to play best when challenged. It will be a good physical game but I think the Steelers have the edge.
Heath Miller is quietly becoming one of the top tight ends in the NFL. In the first game they played, Heath's backup Matt Spaeth dropped 3 or 4 crucial passes. Miller's presence is going to make a BIG difference. Also, if you think Troy P cant change the outcome of a game you are out of your mind.

No, but he did a stint on 60 minutes for a few years.
a few points...
1. don't make the mistake of undervaluing the effect darrelle revis has on a game. did you see what he did to deion branch?
2. the jets suddenly found their pass rush against a far superior patriots offensive line. the steelers at this point are so banged up that i don't know if they even have 5 healthy o-linemen.
3. polamalu being in the game will severely reduce sanchez's throwing opportunities, which means the jets will have to rely on tomlinson...in the playoffs...this is bad news for the jets.
i really have no idea who is gonna win this game.

The Patriots are used to people having nothing but good things to say about them so the Jets firing them up gets them off their game, they don't perform as well as they are used to. The Steelers are always hated seeing as they have a rapist as a QB and some of the dirtiest defensive players in the league. Sexy Rexy is hoping that by being nice they are taken off their game and don't have the same fire.
Mike Wallace is a completely different receiver than Deion Branch.. Revis might have his hands full. It's hard to keep up with a speed demon like Mike Wallace, who may be the fastest wide receiver in the league and one of the most explosive.

Dirty defensive players? I know there are a lot of complaints about Hines Ward but I can't think of anyone else on the team that is considered dirty.
Never mind the game.....Where are all those fickle Pittsburgh fans who hated Big Ben last summer, burned their No. 7 jerseys and swore that the high-character, squeaky-clean Rooneys would NEVER keep a scumbag like Roethlisberger on their team.
"Stillers" fans crack me up. Big Ben and James Harrison could have engineered the holocaust, but Shittsburgh Nation would care as long as they led the team to a 7th ring. And the Rooneys? They probably a step below Al Davis and Jerry Jones.

I don't think this is unique to Steelers fans. There are plenty of sports teams that feature athletes with questionable moral character, and to my knowledge, not one fanbase who has rejected the team outright on that basis. Every city makes excuses for the athletes that are supposed to represent them.
Harrison, fairly or unfairly, is considered to be dirty. Polamalu is also considered dirty but you never hear about it because everyone is sucking him off all the time. The whole D-Line are dirty scumbags.
FYI, I'm not a fan of either team.

Harrison I'll give you. The rest, I'm not sure what you're basing it on. Unless you're working under the principle that football players in general are dirty scumbags, which I won't disagree with.

Revis won't even guard Wallace much. From the first game he was on Ward the whole time with Cromartie on Wallace. Cromartie might be a little faster than Revis considering I think Revis is still nursing a sore hamstring.
I'd say the Steelers are winning this one by 2 TDs. They'll not give up a kick return, stuff the run, and Sanchez will not win the game. Look back at the Steelers defense from the 2nd half of the Ravens game, unbelievable.
