A relative of mine is in a hospital facing a rough time. While visiting them the rooms' tv was on CNN.
I was watching the POTUS and the top Chinaman.
I was chilled to my surprise feeling anger and a sense of impotence, considering I had watched on DVD the final episode of "Boston Legal" wherein the firm is bought out by Chicom interests, the juxtaposition of what I was watching versus what I had seen the night before was ironic.
Does anyone here not consider that, while we lament trivial things such as how Al Salazaar trains his UO/Nike crew, how appalling USATF has become and pondering the next version of minimalist footwear, the future of this nation is melting away?
I remember feeling the chill run up my spine as Obama was obsequious to Hu. I had a flash to the Stephen King book "The Stand", specifically recalling the section in which the US general who was directly responsible for the loss of the security of the germ warfare program which accidentally released what was called "Captain Trips" into the populace resulting in 90% mortality; I remember he ordered some vials of the gersm to be released elsewhere in the world to prevent US' adversaries from conquering the nation while it was in its' thralls.
Finally, in the deepest recesses of my momentary fear, I wondered if there were those hearty enough, hard enough and courageous enough to take that sort of pre-emptive action NOW, before the nation is essentially bankrupted by actions taken back in the Reagan years, which accelerated the economic destruction of this land to benefit the top 2% & to prevent us from becoming a Chinese vasal.
....yeah...NOW Reagans' kid suggests he had Alzheimers in '84. A little late in the admitting phase?
Then I came back to the room and out of the depths of my fear and wondered what would be next for America.
Do YOU wonder? Do you worry? DO YOU FEAR?
