Wow...this is beyond belief.
Why worse than "normal" abortions? Result is the same....
Except it takes a very cold heart to stab something that is human and kill it.
About 2/3rds of the way down:
"Obviously, these allegations are very, very serious," Brennan said.
Really? I wouldn't have guessed.
But Clinton told us this was OK...
Please realize that Barack Obama supported a woman's right to have late term abortions.
Is it different than what was done here? Yes, but only slightly. Essentially, if these babies heads were still in the uterus Obama would support the MD performing this same procedure.
Below is a description of "partial birth abortion," which Obama opposed the illegalization of while in the Senate.
From wikipedia:
"Once the cervix is sufficiently dilated, the doctor uses an ultrasound and forceps to grasp the fetus's leg. The fetus is turned to a breech position, if necessary, and the doctor pulls one or both legs out of the cervix, which some refer to as 'partial birth' of the fetus. The doctor subsequently extracts the rest of the fetus, leaving only the head still inside the uterus. An incision is made at the base of the skull, a blunt dissector (such as a Kelly clamp) is inserted into the incision and opened to widen the opening,[4] and then a suction catheter is inserted into the opening. The brain is suctioned out, which causes the skull to collapse and allows the fetus to pass more easily through the cervix."
He kept jars of severed feet around the hospital for no medical purpose? What the hell?
And who will be the first on hear to go "oh, but this is different than regular abortions. In those cases, the baby is not a human yet"?
C'mon I know someone's dying to. (Haha, get it, dying?)
pre-term fetuses are not babies
much ado about nothing.
How any thinking person can support abortion is beyond me. This is sick.
My take on it wrote:

Im not sure what that has to do with this.
Are you saying you have to oppose abortion on religious grounds? Because I know a lot of people who are agnostic and think abortion is awful.
Im just confused with your logic. That statement doesnt seem to have anything to do with what is being discussed here.

This has nothing to do with religion or personhood One must only respect life to know that abortion is evil.

And don't forget people that say "oh no don't worry, those seven may have been incest and rape babies so in that case their lives wouldn't be worth anything at all and it's okay to kill them"
If the baby can not live outside the womb (unaided, not in a NICU) it is not yet a baby.
If you don't like abortions then don't have one.
Are you male? Then it matters not what you support or don't support.
I have to admit, I lean to the left on many issues. And I'm not a particularly religious person. But I have a problem with abortion. I understand there is gray area concerning when a clump of cells becomes a life (although many conservatives insist that life begins upon conception), but there is just something deeply unsettling and disturbing to me about pulling a partially developed fetus out of the uterus and killing it. I support personal freedoms on most issues (including recreational drug use and gay marriage), but if you choose to have sex, you must take responsibility for the life you might create. You can't just let a doctor cut it up and throw it away. The only exception might be if a woman doesn't choose to have sex, in the instance of rape. And even then, if you're planning on having an abortion after being sexually assaulted, at least get it done early enough that the fetus doesn't have a legs to pull it out with and a spinal cord to severe.

I 100% respect life, but I am also pro-choice. I do not believe that a fetus is necessarily alive.
The question is where life begins -- most people agree that a blastula is not alive, and most people agree that the fetus a day before the due date is alive. Where does the switch occur? Science can't answer this. Religion can, but our laws are not (and should not be) based on religion.
I don't think abortion is an issue that can ever be resolved.

But if abortion is murder (which it what it would be considered if it were outlawed), why would it be acceptable in the case of rape? If "killing" the fetus is tantamount to killing a newborn, as some conservatives suggest, then abortion should never be allowed, ever, not even in the case of rape. And I am a woman.
This is how I see it: If your kid pulled a gun on you, you would have the right to shoot your kid. As horrible as that seems. If the fetus is threatening the life or health of the mother, abortion needs to be an option. I'm a Democrat, but the libertarian side of me says that it's not up to the government to decide what constitutes a serious enough threat on my life for me to be allowed to have an abortion. My doctor decides what the threats of my pregnancy are to determine if an abortion is necessary.
Abortion is not birth control. But sometimes abortions are medically necessary procedures, and it's not up to Congress to decide what is medically necessary.
