The girl is between 7 and 8 years younger. Is that creepy???

half your age plus 7 is the limit.
If you're 16, very.
totally depends on the age
Met my wife when I was 42 and she was 30. That's a 12-year gap that nobody has ever even commented on. Now if we had met when I was 27 and she was 15--that would have been WAY creepy! Of course, she wouldn't have even given me the time of day under the circumstances...
but you would have given her the time of day?
Uh, NO! Not my interests. I've always prefered women to girls. When we met at 42 and 30 we had also fairly recently come out of graduate programs and were starting our professional lives, so we were actually in pretty similar circumstances and the age gap was never an issue for us.

Liar. Unless your graduate program was women's studies, and you were malleable enough to swallow the lie that older women can be physically more attractive than younger women, even when all biological indicators would suggest otherwise.
(please don't respond that looks aren't everything to you; doing so would only confirm women's studies as your masters program)
my gf is 5 years younger than me
I think nikeman and I win this one. We're 19 years apart. I was worried about the creepy factor at first, but then realized compatibility mattered more than age. As long as you're both adults and generally on the same maturity level, don't worry so much.
My rule is generally that I stay away from anyone young enough to be my daughter or old enough to be my mother.

so you are saying that nikeman is very immature?
My teammates are always busting me for my age difference with me and my gf. They say that since I'm a college man, I should date college girls. It's only an 8 year diff and she may only be 11 but she's got the body of a 12-year old!!! WooHoo!

^^^ da troof!
this rule holds true for most. the 20-17 to 22-18 range can be tricky because of college vs high school differences. any older than 22ish works out pretty much perfectly though.

7-8 years isn't that big of a deal, again, depending on the age of both of you. If she's 22 and a brand new graduate and you're 30 with almost of decade of real life experience behind you that she doesn't have yet...that could be an issue.
Personally I could never have married someone 8 years or more different from me in terms of age, but that's just me, and contrary to popular belief, I don't need others to do as I do; to each his own. Love isn't always enough. Good to also be in similar places in your lives with similar experiences. I am friends with a guy who is 64 and plans to retire this year. His wife is 54 and plans to retire when he does. WTF? They are not rolling in it by the way, and they would both benefit greatly even if she just worked 2-3 more years, but she's connected to him in all aspects of her life and therefore believes she should get to retire when he does. I say that's BS (unless they are super wealthy and don't need the income). Women live longer than men too, so women ought to work even longer.
Anyway, 7-8 years isn't too much...bordering on it though if you ask me, but it's ok.

Not "immature," but he acts/thinks younger than the average person his age, and I act/think older than the average person my age. There are differences because of our ages, sure, but we realize and accept them.

Younger is hotter, but older is better to spend time with.

Best rule that has ever been created. If you are breaking this rule, there is something wrong with you.

So someone who is 35 and someone who just turned 24 is unacceptable?
Yeah, but not for too long...
