Has there ever been a boy in the history of hs xc that was as dominant as Jordan Hasay was on the girls side? Has any boy ever won as many state or footlocker titles as her? I do know that obviously no boy was as good as a freshman as she was since boys are never that good freshman year. I am not very familiar with boys history.

Yep. Torres is the only guy to go four times. IIRC, he finished in the top 5 3 different times, and won once.
Ritz and Mohamad won twice, but were not there as freshmen or sophomores.
I think that's as good as you get.
IIRC, one of the top guys this year at FL was 3-time qualifer as a junior, and could win it next year. I think he was old or Ethiopian or something, so if he duplicates what Torres did, it's not quite as cool.

Jim Ryun was sure no slouch on the track. As far as his best race senior year - imagine Hasay going like 4:19 for a mile and beating Nancy Lagat.
And Ritz not there as a sophomore? He was eighth at finals!
Also Ritz was undefeated from soph track season onwards. I think.
Verzbicas is in the process of becoming a male equivalent to Jordan Hasay. 14:18 as a freshman, 2 FL Championships.

WRONG. If Hasay ran like she has recently but back in 1965 like ryun did, she would have been the world record holder.it's hard to compare accomplishments in different eras. ryun couldn't do now what he did then.

Even if Ryun had ran those times 30 years later he would still be the GOAT among high schoolers of both sexes. And it is tough to compare performances, but beating the Olympic champ/world record holder still makes something more impressive, even if the overall times were slower.
Ryan Shay had 4 state titles in Michigan, but I don't think he ever went to foot locker
A couple as mentioned in previous posts, but then the competition isn't as deep in the girls races. It is easier for a girl to be dominate.

I've often wondered about this. The girls mile record is 4:35. That's 23 seconds off the world record, 18 off the world junior record. The boys is 3:53, which is 10 seconds off the world record, 4 seconds off the world junior record. What's up with that? Is the girls competition in high school less deep than the boys, or is there some other factor at play?

He is only running 3 years of HIgh School but has gotten: 2 FL titles, 1 Nike titles, 2 State titles in xc (he is undefeated in xc for all 3 years) and in track indoor 5000 record, 4:04 mile. he hasnt ran a full outdoor track season ever
