Hey, I am trying to teach the Yerkes-Dodson Law about being too pumped up for an event that you actually diminish your performance. Can anybody recall a time a professional athlete returned to play their former team for example (pumped up) and had a bad performance. I am kind of struggling right now. The best I have is Allen Iverson's return to playing FOR Philly a couple years ago when he had 11 points and was 4 of 11 shooting... we should be able to do much better.
It doesn't have to be limited to playing against their old team rather just a time when somebody was too "pumped up" and suffered as a result.
Any help is appreciated.
