I have the opportunity to move there on a business opportunity but have serious reservations. Is that like the middle of nowhere? Running scene? Social atmosphere? Weather? The kind of people that live there?

I'm not from Bowling Green but will offer what I can. Where are your from? Weather wise, Kentucky experiences all 4 seasons to the max. Spring and fall are great of course, but summers can be hot and humid and winters cold with medium snowfall. The snowfall will seem light or harsh depending on where you are from but you can train outside most all of the winter (must own the right clothing).
I can't say much about Bowling Green itself except yeah, pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Nashville and Louisville are the two closest big towns.
That doesn't seem to bad weather-wise. I'm wondering if the city is full of nice, down-to-earth people. I'm of Hispanic origin, don't know if that makes any difference in a Midwest town like Bowling Green.
Just call Matthew Tabor. He will show you a good time.
WKU (alma mater of Nick Rose) is there, with 21,000 undergrads. Surely that means there's some sort of decent running scene?

Bowling Green? I was living in the fast lane there, but I ended up in an alley gutter. I lost my PIN and had to split. I'll spare you the details.
