The Cure used to be bread & butter for "alternative" radio stations along with stuff like Depeche Mode, Peal Jam, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. But nowadays whenever I happen to listen to the radio, it's like The Cure never existed. Did their music just age badly?
Are you kidding? Look up some of the old live videos of "A Forest." That shit never gets old.
You make the call, listen to them and figure out if they've aged well. I personally think their music has aged well. Pearl Jam isn't alternative and didn't even start making albums until 1991 which is after the Cure's best work.
