I almost always do my long runs (13-16 miles) on Sunday mornings, and never have acid reflux--literally never--when I do.
But on the occasional Sundays when I push the LR off until mid/late afternoon, I have acid reflux maybe 1/3 of the time. Sometimes it's been very bad, almost incapacitating.
I assume that it's because of the morning coffee, the vitamins I've had at 10 or 11, something jangling around. I really don't know. I don't have it in the AM because I never eat anything before my AM long run.
A big slug of Pepto-Bismol will take care of the problem.
