I'm not sure if this is correct, but I'd heard that the United States is one of the few countries that demands that you pay taxes back in the United States on your overseas earnings. Basically, I'd heard that you got taxed twice. I can't say that I've ever researched this myself extensively.

You heard wrong. There are foreign tax exclusions and foreign tax credits. If you earn less than $90,000 overseas this year, there's nothing to worry about.
Why comment if you don't know?The answer is: If you are out of the country for a certain amount of time ie at least 11 months of the year, you don't have to pay taxes on the first $ 90,000 you make. you do on whatever you make over that.

Piss off! I was just asking a very basic question wanting to know what'd I'd have to pay in taxes when they offer me a salary....and I get some smart ass responce.
