I have five weeks holiday per year. I am required to take one full week off, but I can take the remaining twenty days off in any combination of days or half days. What would you suggest, or what do you do, if you are trying to use your holiday primarily to make it easier to train?
I used to really like the idea of going somewhere warm in the winter because I really don't like running in the cold, but then I thought this would be a waste unless I was aiming to peak for indoors, and in any case I'd struggle to find others to go with.
But my main problem at the moment is doing a quality session before or after work. Lunchtime is also difficult. So I'm considering taking a half day each week for much of the year. A half day on Tuesday or Wednesday, to break up the week, probably doing a track session in the morning.
Any thoughts or advice appreciated
