"This site is notable enough that international athletes use the message board. Unfortunately the good stuff gets diluted out by the massive amount of noise from teenage runners. It is certainly one of the best known and most popular track and field message board on the internet. I don't have a cite for that statistic but I doubt it is hard to find one. For the record this is what the IAAF says about Letsrun on their own website "LetsRun.com is the premier website in the United States for fans of the top end of the sport."[1] I should add that this link could have been submittted to the IAAF by letrun themselves, although, the IAAF presumably vetted the link and deemed it appropriate. Again, I don't have a cite for that."
Interesting that this writer keeps on noting that he doesn't have a citation for various claims, but doesn't feel the need to add the same disclaimer about teenage runners.
