Well I have an injury that won't go away. I didn't want to take ANY time off, but my coach made me. I took 2 weeks off at one point and thought it went away. 3 weeks later it came back. Took another week off and thought it went away again but it didnt. I'm in the best shape of my life right now. I can run endlessly at 6:45-8:00 pace without problem. But anything faster than 6:00 pace and my hamstring tightens up and I lose control of my leg.
This sucks because I can't race! No reason to train at 7 minute pace if when it comes time to race my leg doesn't work, right? Now I want this to go away. I hate being faster than I have been in my whole life, but not being able to prove it.
So, I feel as if I should just take a whole month off and forget about this track season. But say I take a whole month off.(30 days) How long will it take me to get back to where I am now? Can I be where I am now by the beginning of next XC season?
