Does anyone know of good training books for XC skiing? Not simple books on technique with light training tips, but similar to "The Lore of Running" or "Daniel's Running Formula"? I've hunted around but seem to have little luck.

I have heard good things about Lee Borowski's "Optimal Guide..." I have not read it, however.

Check out "Momentum" by Pete Vorednburg. He has a few other books too but I can't think of what they are called. Also, a portion of Bjorn Daehle's personal training log has been translated into English- if you can find that it'll be a fantastic help.
The trouble with merely reading a book for training tips on Nordic (and why they are harder to find) is that it is significantly more technical than running. Maybe see if you can join a local club or even get a high school coach to give you some pointers.
Good luck, and think snow!

Try google" CXC".
Last time I checked they had good video to watch. Form, drills, regimen etc.
