what is amazing is that free market fundamentalists have a leg to stand on. look at how the banks did as we deregulated them. they didn't even have the discipline to prevent themselves from running their businesses into the ground, which in turn nearly caused the total and complete destruction of the US economy.
Unfortunately, if you are still operating on the belief we ever had anything resembling an unregulated banking environment in the US, you are too irrational to be educated by facts and logic, and will have to undergo painful intellectual rehabilitation by having your standard of living reduced violently for many years. Because your perception of reality is filtered through the minds of others, you are unable to apprehend simple, obvious facts or detect glaring contradictions even when they are staring you in the face. Eventually, you will be faced with a choie: if you ever want to live in viable economy egain, you will have to abadondon the idea that college professiors, media personalities, government officials and public opinion polls are mankind's proper sources of truth and knowledge, and start looking at the facts of reality directly, for yourself.
