I think you are right. Good value bet IMO. He doesn't have much injury history and is young. I don't think he's at much risk of losing the title unless he gets hurt, which is probably more like 1 in 10. Good find.

Try and look and past performance of the players, and I think that you will find the players become softer in the latter season. Durant has a strong possibilty to become injured, and Lebron plays very lackluster scoring wise in the late season. Amare would be you best choice.

Why do you, a novice, think that Sportsbook.com is "really blowing it on this one"? Bookies don't care who they pay off, they make money no matter what happens. They take money from the losers and pay it to the winners for a 9% fee.

You aren't getting 2:1 odds, more like 1:2. Just the opposite. You are betting $200 to win $100. Still a decent bet.

Previous poster hit the nail on the head.....with those "prop" bets, the limit is usually very small. I used to have a large account with 2 reputable on-line sportsbetting sites and the most I could ever wager on a prop was 200 dollars. Not even worth the risk in my opinion. If you could drop 2K on that bet....I'd be in with you for sure.

If you think it is a solid bet with a $100 max why not open an account at 10 or so other places and make the bet.

Lebron rolled his ankle last night. Might not mean much but I could see him being slowed, passing more, missing some games.

If the knicks pick up Carmelo, Amare could see less action.

Durant does take on average 2 more shots a game than Lebron and 1 more than Amare. Amare has a 4% edge in fg makes. But again he could see less shots if Melo is picked up by the knicks. Durant does get to the line which could help.

I think its a good value.

I agree that most sportsbetting is throwing money out the window. But every once in awhile the books make clear mistakes with their prop bets.

For instance, you can still bet -400 on sportsbook that Pat Riley will not coach the Miami Heat at some point this season. I think those odds are just crazy. They have won something like 19-20, he has publicly stated he is not coming back and Wade has gone on record saying he loves Spoelstra.

Bets like that are a waste of time because they tie up the money for a long time.

The Knicks play that up-tempo style of offense, so it is not out of the question that Amare outscores Durant by the end of the season.

Making 50% profit in 6 months is a waste of time?

If I am correct NY has been playing that uptempo offense all season and Amare has been avg. 26.3 points.

Laying -200 and -400 on futures bets are a waste of time. The most you can possibly be winning on these bets is around $100 or $200 max with the prop bet limits.

Also, with most online books, you have to pay $40 bucks for a processing fee of a payout. Not to mention the fact that the money is tied up, making it more likely you are going to deposit more cash for various other wagers.

Sportsbooks love people that bet on futures, teasers, and parlays. Stay away from those things and you'll be fine.

It is your money though, so good luck with whatever you wager.

What you are really betting on is an injury. If DWade and Bosh went down, Lebron could very easily pass Durant. If Durant went down, he wouldn't have enough games.

I would go for the bet.

You may have to worry about Monta Ellis before all is said and done also.

One of the golden rules of Sports Betting is not to lay more than -150 in juice. Too many of those types of wagers and you are flat broke.

Just take the over tonight in the North Texas/Florida International game and you'll make way more cash than you would with those prop bets, and you wont have to wait til April to see the funds
