Hopefully I can get some advice on here. I was a great runner in high school and went to D1 college on scholarship. College didn't work out and was not running well...just didn't feel right but never found out what the problem was...blahblah happens to a lot of females! I stopped running after college went to work like most people...4 plus years later I felt the desire to run again. Started out (a long road of just getting the lungs and legs feeling well (3 months of just jogging every other day 15-35 minutes)...but once that initial stage was over success came pretty quickly. Within a month of training I was running back to my old old self and with in 2 months even better. The problems then began. I got a femoral stress fracture and then this cycle would repeat itself....(start running again...training to the point of getting a PR and then another stress fracture.) I've had about 4 in the last year...what is going on? I eat well and feel stronger than ever. I do have a thin frame but not much I can do for that, even from not running the last 4 years it didn't change! I incorporated weights in as well...the doctors I see don't really get running (odd since they are sports doctors) and they think me being underweight that is the problem. I've been underweight though my whole life (running or not)! nothing new! I'm sick of them basically saying telling me being skinny is the problem! It's like, well what am I suppose to do!? I wouldn't mind putting on a few pounds if it helped but I don't think that's the issue. I'm about to just jog every other day because my body is so lame! any advice!?
sorry so long, but I'm really at the end of my rope...defn. would help if someone who experienced the same...
