When does it stop?
My guess is never.

The accomodation is actually for the week EMT's who can't lift the fat SOB's.
At 500lb+ you are well past the obese level.

Will they be charging more for patients who are obese? I bet not, I suspect this will be a cost foisted off on the rest of the population, again.
I believe that obese people should lose the right to vote.
In the immortal words of the great poet-philosopher Mo'nique, "F*ck you skinny b#tches!"
The same deal is going on in hospitals where the standard wheelchair is now a double wide for any normal person.
ah yes, used to love these pt's when i worked in SB....we actually had a bariatric unit, but the supervisors hated us for calling for it. the accepted method was to just call for FD backup and use 4-5 ppl to lift the fatso. and yes, you DEF get to know the address's. NO, we never were able to charge more, even though it takes an ambulance out of service for MUCH LONGER than for a "regular" patient, and takes the fire crew out of service (often we (the ambulance jockeys) would just cancel fire and handle it ourselves so that they would still be available for calls). truly sad what accommodations our society is making for peoples CHOICES. it's truly a choice, and nobody can honestly argue better. met a gal from Bakersfield a while ago, she used to weight 250lbs+, now almost two yrs later, she's hitting 90min 1/2 marathons and looks smoking hot. i always use her as my fallback for proof that if YOU WANT TO, you can change. prob accounts for WAY over 50% of our (unnecessary) healthcare costs.cheers, dude-

People are starting to say fatty is an offensive term. We are going to have to change the language and call them horizontally challenged.
It is fine for people to say we are too skinny, though.
