well they DID start out originally as a running store FOR track athletes. that explains why they favor track so heavily, there just going back to their roots, and no one else really favors track so some1 has to do it.
one of the things i dont like about nike tho, altho i do like thema good deal seeing as my family has connections to them, is how there always floucning a product and then they go into a mass production of it and it becomes a big hit with the crowd. but after like a 2-3 years of having it they discontinue it (and i know this is a marketing scheme to make people buy in bulk, but cmon) and then they make the "sequeal" to said product (example, free 3.0 and pretty much 5.0 both discontinued and now the free run plus tkaes their place) which they try to sell as the superior when clearly it isnt. they then keep some of there more crappy things out longer and dont make the changes to them that they should be.
i basically dont like how they're alsways changing something that has been deemed pretty much perfect and then they go and wreck it with a crap product (liek free run plus, altho it is still a good shoe)they feel the ever present need to change somethihng "for the better" only to make it worse.
